Here are answers to the most common questions we receive from men considering or undergoing hormone therapy.

General Program Information

How does the Men’s Hormone Therapy Program work?

Our program begins with a comprehensive consultation, detailed lab testing, and a full review of your health history.

Once your results are in, we customize a testosterone therapy plan specifically for your needs.

You’ll receive medications, supplies, and instructions shipped directly to your home.

Ongoing physician consultations, lab monitoring, and dosage adjustments are included in your monthly fee.

  • Testosterone injections (and other supporting medications if needed)
  • Supplies needed for treatment (syringes, alcohol wipes, etc.)
  • Comprehensive lab work and evaluations
  • Ongoing physician consultations and follow-up
  • Shipping of medications directly to your door

Medications and Treatment Questions

  • Testosterone injections to restore healthy levels.
  • Clomiphene, Enclomiphene, or Gonadorelin to maintain natural testicular function.
  • An estrogen blocker to prevent estrogen buildup and maintain hormonal balance.

hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is sometimes prescribed to stimulate natural testosterone production and prevent testicular shrinkage during therapy.

Its use will be determined based on your lab results and health goals.

Safety and Monitoring

Over-the-counter products are unregulated, poorly absorbed, and inconsistently dosed.

They can lead to unpredictable results, potential side effects, and unsafe hormone fluctuations.

Yes.

Many testosterone-boosting supplements are ineffective, unregulated, and sometimes dangerous.

Real hormonal balance requires medically guided treatment — not unproven supplements.

READ THESE DIRECTIONS THOROUGHLY

  1. Please make sure that you are only injecting 1cc, .75cc, or .5cc of testosterone per week as directed by the doctor. You will receive a 5ml or 10 vial depending on which program you are on as well as which state you are in as some only allow a one month supply to be sent a time. You will not run low on medication during an 8-9 week (2 month) period as long as you are following these tips and instructions. Running low on medications could be due to the following reasons:

On all of the needles, there is a “Dome” on the top of the plunger. When filling the syringe with medicine, you must make sure that the first line after the dome is used to measure. Do not use the top of the “Dome” to measure. Refer to the screenshots shown on the right. (“Correct Way” and “Incorrect Way”)

Remember to store the bottle of testosterone upright after use. If the bottle is left on its side it is possible medication may leak through the puncture hole(s) in the rubber stopper. Store the testosterone at room temperature, do not refrigerate.

Thank you for your ongoing support, these tips and instructions are to ensure that you are properly loading your syringe to the correct dosage. Please feel free to contact Royal Medical Center with any further questions or concerns.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Rodriguez, M.D.

After your first 90 days, we conduct follow-up lab testing to ensure your hormone levels are optimized.

We may adjust your treatment plan if needed to keep you feeling your best.
